Approach

The Approach stage comprises contacting the candidates on the Talent Pipeline, letting them know that you don’t have an immediate opening, but that you’re likely to be hiring in the near future and would they be interested to discuss this. It is always best to be open and honest about the reason for the approach and to let the candidate drive the communication.

The next steps will be a short discussion over the phone to go through a few screening questions and then if they seem a good potential fit for the future roles you are planning ahead for or indeed any others that spring to mind then you can keep an open dialogue until at such time you can offer them an interview for an actual role. 

Following the Approach stage is the Compilation of the Pipeline where you can qualify and list potential candidates for future roles.
